1. Enable Broadcasting on the Garmin handheld
Open your handheld device and enable "Broadcast dog data" under Settings. How you do it depends on your model:
- Alpha 100/Astro 320: Settings → Dogs → Broadcast dog data → Enable
- Alpha 200/300: Settings → System → Enable Broadcast dog data
2. Install Garmin Connect
Don't have Garmin Connect yet? Download it from the App Store or Google Play and set up your watch as a new device.
3. Prepare the watch
- Turn off "Auto Search" under Sensors & Accessories on the watch.
- Remove the DogTrack widget if you have it installed.
4. Download the WeHunt watch app
Search for WeHunt in the Garmin Connect IQ store and install the watch app.
5. Connect in the WeHunt app
Go to Devices → Add device → Garmin/Watch.
Tap "Select Garmin watch" and then "Open WeHunt on Garmin watch".
6. Connect the handheld and collars
When WeHunt starts on the watch you will get the prompt "Scan for handheld" – make sure your handheld and collars are turned on! If the watch finds your device it will show "Connect to XXXXXX". Tap yes to connect.
7. Link a dog profile
Go to Devices in WeHunt, tap your Garmin device and link a dog profile.
Your dogs will now appear on the map and in the watch!
