Shared dogs and devices are not showing on the map

Update 18.09.2026:
Compared to what we wrote earlier, the fix no longer requires a new version of the app. It is now delivered to version 8.14.4 automatically, so no update from the app store is needed and there is nothing you need to do yourself. It may take some time before the fix reaches every device. Until it does, the workaround below still works.

----

Dear Customer,

We are aware of an issue in WeHunt app version 8.14.4. Dogs and devices that someone else has shared with you do not appear on the map or in the map view's dog list.

What is affected: Whether dogs shared with you — through administrator or viewing rights — are shown on the map. Dogs you own yourself are not affected. You do not need to share the dog again or change anything on the collar.

What you can do: Take part in a hunt. While a hunt is active, dogs and devices shared with you are shown on the map and in the dog list as normal. The dogs do not need to be part of the hunt themselves. This works on the version you have now.

If you have shared your dog with others: They may not see it on their map either, for the same reason. The same applies to them — while they are taking part in a hunt, the dog is shown as normal.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Best regards,
Natlink
