WeHunt - Version release notes

WeHunt App version: 8.12.0

Date: 1.9.2026

Release notes:

New

• Everyone in a hunting team can now see the team's upcoming hunt plans and past hunts with their reports. You can also hide hunts from your own list, and a hunt creator can hand over the hunt-leader role
• Trail analysis map is much easier to work with — smoother panning and zooming, drag handles on trackpoints, and better performance on long trails
• Choose a custom trail length — the same trail-length picker is now used everywhere in the app and accepts your own value
• Create a dog directly from its collar's marker on the live map
• Better device feedback — the app now tells you when a command (like whistle or light) didn't reach the collar, and geofence settings are available to device admins
• On a fresh install your existing trail history is filled in from the backend instead of starting empty

Fixed
• Team documents with å, ä, ö in the filename (especially PDFs) now open correctly
• Dog and hunter direction arrows now follow the map when you rotate it
• Various stability and map-rendering fixes

Version 8.11.4 (28/08/2026)

WeHunt App version: 8.11.4

Date: 28.8.2026

Release notes:

What's new in WeHunt 8.11.4
WeHunt 8.11.4 is here!

A lot has happened since 8.10.4, and this update brings all of it together. What's new first, then everything we've fixed.

NEW

The same trail length everywhere – and one you pick yourself:
Dogs, hunters and My position now offer exactly the same trail-length choices instead of four lists that disagreed. And if none of the steps suit you, there's "Custom…" – all the way up to 48 hours.

You'll know whether the command arrived:
Send a command to the collar and you now see whether it actually reached the collar, failed, or is still waiting – no more guessing.

Create a dog straight from the map:
No dog set up yet? Tap a device marker on the live map and you'll go straight to a New Dog screen.

WHAT WE FIXED

Collars and dog info
• Bark sensitivity on Hybrid collars can be lowered again, and the status stays put even if you close the popup: sending → waiting for collar → confirmed.
• Barking time in the dog's info panel counts the whole trail instead of dropping towards zero the moment the dog goes quiet, and now matches the red bark track.
• The extended info panel no longer cuts off barking time, trail length and owner on hybrid and Avius collars.
• Own no dogs yourself? You'll still see your team's dogs in the target list and info panel.

Maps and hunting grounds
• Your own trail fills in from the server right after a fresh install or on a new phone, instead of sitting empty until you start moving.
• Direction arrows for dogs and fellow hunters point the right way even when you've rotated the map with two fingers.

Hunts, teams and documents
• Uploaded .txt and .csv files with å, ä and ö open with the right characters.
• When you edit your team's dogs, the current dogs are already selected.

Update in the App Store or on Google Play. If something misbehaves or you have a wish – drop a comment, we read them all.

Version 8.10.4 (25/08/2026)

WeHunt App version: 8.10.4

Date: 25.8.2026

Release notes:

What's new in WeHunt 8.10.4
This update includes faster maps, steadier dog trails, and a batch of fixes you've told us about.

Dog trails stay put — Dogs shared with you, or belonging to a team you follow, no longer lose their trail on the map during an ongoing hunt.

Share the dog, share the collar — As a dog handler you can now use the dog's collar too – light, sound, call and reporting interval. Settings for the device itself stay with the owner. You can also add the dog you're handling to a hunt yourself, without asking the owner.

Faster hunting ground maps — Hunting grounds load faster and are available offline. Offline maps no longer re-download every time you open the app.

Photos that don't hold you up — Add a photo to a map pin or a game report and it saves right away. The photo uploads in the background while you carry on hunting – even when coverage is patchy.

Also in this update

• Team documents with å, ä or ö can be opened again.
• Positions from your dog's collar are more accurate.
• Map pins and game reports save faster.
• A couple of display glitches in hunt replay are gone.

Version 8.10.0 (18/08/2026)

WeHunt App version: 8.10.0

Date: 18.8.2026

Release notes:

What's new in WeHunt 8.10.0

Three new ways to keep track of your dogs, a wider view on tablets, and more control over the map and hunt replay.

Bark alarm — Set a bark limit for a dog and get an alarm when it goes over. The alarm reaches you as a notification and at the edge of the map, so you know what is happening without watching the screen. Turn it on for one dog, or for all of them at once.

Geofence — Draw a fence around an area and get an alarm each time your dog crosses out of it. The fence can be a radius from your own position, from the dog's current position or from a point on the map — or your hunting ground borders.

Share a dog — Hand viewer or admin rights on a dog to another hunter with a share code, the same way you already share a device. Shared dogs appear on the map, and you can take the access back whenever you want.

Import from Reviiri — Bring your markers, lines and areas from Reviiri straight into your club map.

Tablets in landscape — Android tablets and iPad now rotate freely, so the map gets the full width. Phones stay in portrait.

On the map

• Tap an unassigned collar on the map to pick the dog wearing it, without going to Settings.
• Change which collar a dog is wearing straight from the dog's info panel.
• Center the map on a dog or a hunter far away and it zooms in far enough to actually see them.
• When you place a pin or a game report, the position picker shows the full map: other pins, hunting ground borders, trails, teammates and your own position.

Devices and teams

• Adjust bark sensitivity on VHF collars over the handheld's Bluetooth connection.
• Artemis collars have a Network setting for choosing radio mode, on supported firmware.
• Device details show the SIM phone number, and the ID printed on your collar rather than an internal reference.
• The collar picker lists actively reporting collars first.
• Team join codes can be deleted and regenerated, and are visible only to owners and admins.
