Some Tracker G10i owners in Norway and Sweden have noticed that the dog's position can stop updating for about 10 minutes at a time and then start again by itself. The breaks happen when the collar uses the 4G IoT network.
We are working on a permanent solution together with the network operator. In the meantime, you can try the following.
1. Update the WeHunt app
Make sure you have WeHunt version 8.19.0 or later. From this version you can choose which network your G10i uses.
2. Try another network setting
Open the collar's settings in the app and tap Network. You can choose between:
- 2G/GSM: the collar uses 2G first and switches to 4G IoT when 2G is not available.
- 4G IoT (LTE-M + NB-IoT): the collar uses 4G IoT first and switches to 2G when 4G IoT is not available.
- Only GSM: the collar uses 2G only. If there is no 2G coverage, the collar stops working for about an hour and then returns to the default setting.
- Only 4G IoT: the collar uses 4G IoT only. If there is no 4G IoT coverage, the collar stops working for about an hour and then returns to the default setting.
2G networks remain available in both Norway and Sweden until the end of 2027. Coverage varies from area to area, so try which setting works best where you hunt. The app shows the new setting once the collar has confirmed it, and the setting is kept when you switch the collar off and on.
If the position keeps stopping, contact support and include the collar's IMEI number.
We will update this article as soon as we have more information.
