Your current subscriptions and licenses in WeHunt

If you've been using the Tracker app, this page explains what happens to your existing app subscription or app license and your device subscription or device license, when Tracker evolves into WeHunt in summer 2026.

We've designed the move so the subscriptions and/or licenses you're already paying for keeps working, and you don't have to do anything when getting started in WeHunt.

If you already have a WeHunt subscription, nothing here applies to you — your subscription continues exactly as it does today.

The short version

  • If you have an App subscription (autorenews) in Tracker, it continues as a Premium subscription in WeHunt. Same price you currently pay, same renewal date, same access to features in the app, new name (which we will communicate separately about).
  • If you have a Device subscription (autorenews) for your Tracker device, it keeps running as before.
  • If you have an App license (does not autorenew) in Tracker, it's valid until its expiry date. After that, you'll need to buy a Premium subscription on WeHunt.app — it doesn't happen automatically.
  • If you have a Device license (does not autorenew) in Tracker, it's valid until its expiry date. After that, you'll need to buy a Device subscription on WeHunt.app — it doesn't happen automatically.
  • We're not migrating, cancelling, or changing anything on your behalf. When something needs your decision, we'll tell you and give you time.

How devices and subscriptions work in WeHunt

For your dog tracking device to work in WeHunt, it has to be covered by a subscription or a license. There are three ways to do that:

  • Premium (or Tracker App subscription) + Device subscription. Premium covers the app for you; a Device subscription covers each individual device you own. You need both — Premium alone won't make the device work, and a Device subscription alone won't give you the app.

  • GPS Max. A single subscription that covers both the app and your devices together.

  • Licenses from Tracker (one-time purchases). In Tracker you could buy an App license or a Device license valid for 12 months. These never auto-renewed — they simply expired a year after purchase. If you have licenses (both App and Device license needed to track your dog) that haven't expired yet, the remaining validity carries over to WeHunt, and you don't need to buy a subscription until that time is about to run out.

Without one of these, your device won't connect or send positions in the app. This is true for all devices.

Buying a new subscription doesn't extend one you already have. Do you want to switch to GPS Max? See "Switching to GPS Max" below.

Devices where Premium is enough

Some devices don't need a Device subscription or GPS Max, because we don't provide the connectivity for them. For these, a Premium subscription is all you need in WeHunt.

I have an older Tracker, Ultracom or B-Bark device with its own SIM card. What do I need?

Just a Premium subscription. These are our devices, but they run on a third-party SIM card that you top up yourself — the top-up isn't handled through us. As long as the SIM card has credit, your device works in WeHunt with Premium alone.

I have a Travel SIM card in my Tracker, Ultracom or B-Bark device. What do I need?

You can continue with the Travel SIM. If you have issues topping up your Travel SIM via our webshop, please contact our Support and they can help you.

Can I use my Garmin or Lafayette device in WeHunt?

Garmin devices work in WeHunt today with a Premium subscription. Lafayette support is on its way - we'll let you know as soon as it's live. Keep in mind that your device provider may require its own license or subscription for the device to send positions — that's separate from WeHunt and handled with them.

Tracker App subscription

What's happening to my Tracker App subscription?

We're renaming it to WeHunt Premium. Your current price, renewal date, and what you get all stay the same. You'll see the new name in the app and on your receipts.

Do I need to do anything?

No. Your subscription continues as it is. You'll just see a different name on it.

Will I be charged differently?

No. The price you pay today is the price you'll keep paying.

Tracker App license (one-time purchase, does not autorenew)

What's happening to my Tracker App license?

It stays valid until its expiry date. Nothing changes between now and then.

What happens when my license expires?

Your license doesn't renew or convert automatically. When it expires, you'll need to buy a Premium subscription on WeHunt.app — that's the WeHunt version of the Tracker App subscription you may already be familiar with from Tracker.

Do I need to do anything now?

No. Your license is paid up until its expiry date and will keep working until then. When it's getting close to that expiry date, go to our web shop and buy a subscription. Until then, there's nothing to do but to go out and enjoy the hunting.

Device subscription

What's happening to my Device subscription?

It continues as before. Same price, same renewal, same way of working.

Can I still buy a Device subscription for a new device?

Yes. Device subscription stays available. When you buy a new device, you can just buy another Device subscription for it in our web shop.

Device license (one-time purchase, does not autorenew)

What's happening to my Device license?

It stays valid until its expiry date. Nothing changes between now and then.

What happens when my Device license expires?

Your license doesn't renew or convert automatically. When it expires, you'll need to buy a Device subscription in our web shop — that keeps your device working the same way it does today, just on a recurring basis instead of a one-time purchase.

Do I need to do anything now?

No. Your license is paid up until its expiry date and your device will keep working until then. We'll remind you when it's getting close to that date, so you have time to buy a Device subscription at the right moment. Until then, there's nothing to do.

What if I have more than one device license?

When a Device license of yours expires, just replace it by purchasing an auto-renewing Device subscription. If you have Device licenses that expire on different dates, you will end up with a mix of Device licenses and Device subscriptions up until all your Device licenses have been replaced with Device subscriptions – that is completely fine and nothing to worry about. The price and functionality is the same for both Device subscriptions and Device licenses.

What if my App license and Device license expire on different dates?

That's fine. They run independently from each other.

Active and Bark device subscriptions

What's happening to my Active and Bark device subscription?

It continues as before. Same price, same renewal, no change in what it does for you.

I have an Active or Bark subscription together with a Tracker App (or WeHunt Premium) subscription. What happens now?

You will be offered (if eligible) to combine everything into one GPS Max subscription. Check your Account Dashboard on our website (wehunt.app) to see if the offer is available to you (see "Switching to GPS Max" below).

Can I still buy an Active and Bark device subscription for a new device?

If you buy a new Active or Bark device today, it needs to be covered either by a GPS Max or a combination of Premium+Device subscription.

What if I cancel my Active and Bark device subscription?

You're welcome to cancel any time. Once it expires, your device needs to be covered by a combination of WeHunt Premium+Device subscription or a GPS Max to keep working in WeHunt. You'll pick which one in our web shop — there's nothing automatic.

If you have an older WeHunt GPS subscription

I have a WeHunt GPS subscription from before. Is it still valid?

Yes. Your WeHunt GPS subscription continues to work exactly as before, and it gives you the same access as GPS Max. In the app, it may be shown as GPS Max 1 — that's just the new name for what you already have. You don't need to do anything.

I have more than one WeHunt GPS subscription. What should I do?

Contact our support team. They'll help you move to a single GPS Max subscription that covers all your devices.

I'm paying for both Tracker and WeHunt — what should I do?

If  you have an active subscription in the old WeHunt app (Standard, Premium or GPS MAX) and at the same time an active Tracker App subscription, both continue to work as they do today - nothing breaks if yo do nothing. But yo're most likely paying twice for the same thing.

Log in to your account dashboard on wehunt.app: if you're eligible, you'll see a banner at the top with an offer to consolidate your subscription into one. If you don't see the offer, or you're unsure which subscription to keep, contact our support team and they'll sort it out with you without you losing anything you've paid for.

Once you accepted the offer, you may also see an offer to switch to GPS MAX pop up (see "Switchin to GPS MAX below").

Choosing between GPS Max and Premium + Device subscription

If you have a dog tracking device — and your one-time device license is expiring, or you're just looking ahead — you've got two paths. Both are good. They suit different situations.

GPS Max

  • One subscription covers the app and your devices together.
  • You get a discount for each additional device starting from the second one, so it's typically the better value when you run more than one device.
  • Single renewal date, single charge, less to keep track of.
  • One thing to know: because all your devices sit under a single subscription, reducing your device count means downgrading the GPS Max tier rather than cancelling a separate subscription.
  • You cannot have both GPS Max and a Device subscription active at the same time – you have to choose.

Premium + Device subscription

  • Each device has its own Device subscription, separate from your Premium subscription.
  • More flexible if your situation changes — you can cancel a single device's coverage without touching the others, or stagger renewal dates as you add devices over time.
  • Better option if someone else is paying for one or more of your devices (for example your employer or relative).
  • One thing to know: there's no volume discount, so multiple devices mean multiple full-price Device subscriptions.
  • You cannot have both GPS Max and a Device subscription active at the same time – you have to choose.

A simple way to think about it

If you run one device, the two options are close — pick whichever feels simpler to you. If you run two or more devices and don't mind having everything bundled together, GPS Max is the cheaper option. If you want each device to stand on its own, the Premium + Device subscription bundle gives you that flexibility.

Switching to GPS Max

I pay for an App (Tracker app or Premium) subscription and one or more Device subscriptions. Can I combine them into GPS Max?

Yes. If you pay for your subscriptions yourself and bought your App subscription on our website, you can switch directly from your Account Dashboard on WeHunt.app. If you're eligible, you'll see a banner showing your yearly saving — select See my offer to review the details.

The switch page lists each subscription that will be replaced, along with the value of the time you've paid for but not yet used. That remaining time is converted into a credit, and its value is deducted automatically from your first GPS Max payment.

Note: if you also have an active subscription in the old WeHunt app, you'll first see an offer to consolidate your duplicate subscriptions. The GPS Max switch offer is shown after you've accepted that one.

Should I switch?

With two or more devices, GPS Max costs less than your separate subscriptions combined — the banner shows your exact saving. With one device, you can still switch if you'd like everything on one subscription, but you won't save any money. There's no requirement to switch either way.

What happens after I switch?

Your old subscriptions are cancelled and replaced by one GPS Max plan, billed yearly from the day you switch. Your devices keep working as before — no re-pairing or setup needed. If you add or remove devices later, you can change your GPS Max plan size to match.

I don't see the switch offer. Why?

The most common reasons: your subscription was bought through the App Store or Google Play rather than our website, you don't have both an App subscription and a Device subscription, someone else pays for one of your subscriptions, or you're part of a team subscription — the offer isn't available to anyone under a team subscription for now. If you'd still like to switch, contact our support team and they'll help you find the right way forward.

I already bought GPS Max and still had time left on my old subscriptions. Is that time lost?

The remaining time itself ends, but its value isn't lost. Contact our support team — they'll convert the value of your remaining time into a credit on your account, applied to your next payment.

What if I do nothing?

Nothing changes. Your current subscriptions continue to work and renew as usual.

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play

I bought my subscription through the App Store or Google Play. What do I need to know?

Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google are managed there, not in our web shop. Three things to keep in mind:

  • The GPS Max switch offer only applies to subscriptions bought on our website, so you won't see it in your Account Dashboard.
  • An active App Store or Google Play subscription also prevents you from buying a subscription in our web shop. If you want to switch, contact support first and they'll guide you through it.
  • We can't cancel a subscription you bought in App or Play Store on your behalf — you have to cancel it yourself in the WeHunt mobile app or in your Apple/Google account settings. Here's how: cancel a subscription on Google Play or cancel a subscription from Apple. Support will help make sure you don't lose anything you've already paid for.
Buying a new device

I'm getting a new Tracker device. What subscription should I buy?

New to WeHunt? GPS Max is the simplest option — one subscription covers the app and your devices together.

Already have Premium or Device subscriptions? Keep them — your new device just needs its own Device subscription. If you'd rather move everything to GPS Max, use the switch offer in your Account Dashboard so the time you've already paid for is credited (see "Switching to GPS Max" above).

Where do I buy?

If you are a dog tracking device owner, you buy subscriptions in our web shop at wehunt.app.

Still have questions? If you're thinking about changing or combining subscriptions, check your Account Dashboard first — if you're eligible to switch, the offer and your saving are shown there. If you don't see it, or your situation isn't covered here, our support team is happy to help. Reach out before you buy, and we'll walk through it with you so you don't pay for overlapping time.

If you have any questions you can always contact our support team.
